Gracious Seniors is a program for retired people of all ages, held on the third Thursdays of February, May, August and November. The group shares a meal at noon and then sees a presentation from that month's guest speaker. Our programs are very interesting and are open to anyone, Grace members and non-members alike. It is a wonderful afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun. Please RSVP so they have a ballpark idea of how much food to prepare.
The next Senior Luncheon will be held on Thursday May 21 at 12:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. The menu and program will be announced soon. Please bring a side, salad, dessert or beverage to share. As the time gets nearer there will be is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board at church where you can indicate if you will be attending and what you will bring.
Do you or perhaps a friend have an interesting hobby or pictures from a trip that you would like to share at one of our future Senior Luncheons? We have had some great programs presented by our own members and are always looking for more. Talk with Sandy Schantz (contact info above) if you are interested in sharing.
Past Gatherings
The first gathering of 2026 was on Thursday February 19. After lunch (thanks to Sandy Schantz and Dennis Meck for serving meatloaf) the group thoroughly enjoyed a showing of the film “The Fries Rebellion”, presented by Sarajane Williams, president of the Lower Macungie Historical Society. She wrote the script for this fascinating short film, which you can also see and read about here: Fries Rebellion.

The Summer 2025 gathering was on Thursday August 21. The program following the meal featured music and comedy by our “Belznickel” Keith Brinzenhoff, who also sang and played several musical instruments. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of entertainment with a PA Dutch flavor. The meal featured hamburger BBQs with shared sides and desserts.

On May 16 of 2024, Rev. Rachael Dietz and Chipotle gave an informative, funny, and touching presentation about the life and times of a service dog and VERY GOOD BOY indeed. Thank you to Al McCrae for the AV setup, to Judy Reppert for the Thrivent sponsorship, and to Sandy Schantz and Dennis Meck for cooking and serving the meal.
