The Gracious Seniors are back! The Gracious Seniors group will start holding Luncheons again beginning on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Lunch will be served at 12 noon, followed by a presentation, and will end about 2:00 pm. Our August speaker will be Rev. Tom Kochenderfer, who impersonates Rev. Henry Melchior Muhlenberg (the first Lutheran pastor in America). We will supply the main course, and ask guests to bring a dessert or beverage to share. If you would be willing to help prepare food, set up tables and decorations, or clean up, please let Sandy Schantz know (email@example.com or 610-966-3145). Sign-up sheets have been posted to the bulletin boards at church and you may also RSVP by calling the church office, so we get an idea of how much food to prepare. If you are interested in a great afternoon out but you aren't a Senior, come anyway; we welcome all! Following this, the next Gracious Seniors meal will take place at noon on November 17, 2021.
More about this group: Gracious Seniors is a program for retired people of all ages, held on the third Wednesdays of February, May, August and November. The group shares a meal at noon and then sees a presentation from that month's guest speaker. Our programs are very interesting and are open to anyone, Grace members and non-members alike. It is a wonderful afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun. Hope you can join us!
Programs Scheduled for 2021:
August 18, 2021 – Rev. Thomas Kochenderfer will speak on Henry Melchior Muhlenberg.
November 17, 2021 – TBD
Do you or perhaps a friend have an interesting hobby or pictures from a trip that you would like to share at one of our future Senior Luncheons? We have had some great programs presented by our own members and are always looking for more. Talk with Sandy Schantz if you are available or if you have any suggestions.
