Welcome to the Grace Lutheran Church website. We hope this site will help you to learn more about us and our witness to God's work in the world. Grace is a thriving community of believers who strive both to hear and to do the word of God. Grace Lutheran has a long tradition of outreach and service to all God's people. We hope you will join us for meaningful worship, relevant service in the world, and a place where you will always feel welcome. Come as you are!

Life Touch Photography Sessions - On February 16, 17, and 18, representatives took family portraits for our new Grace directory. All who had photographs taken will receive a free directory and an 8x10 portrait. THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPANTS!
Lent Is Coming, March 1 - One sure sign of spring is the beginning of the Lenten season. This year it begins with Ash Wednesday worship on March 1 at 7:00 pm. The service includes confession, (optional) Imposition of Ashes, and Holy Communion. Mid-Week Lenten worship continues the next 5 Wednesdays at 7:00 pm beginning March 8 at Grace and alternating between Grace Lutheran and Solomon's UCC. The theme this year is "Grace and Ernest Go to Church" and will address some of the theological questions raised by the Reformation (2017 is the year we commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation). When the service is at Grace, worship will center on the beautiful Holden Evening Prayer liturgy. A social gathering with light refreshments will follow the service each week.
Lenten Project - Our Lenten Project this year will be to purchase goats ($50.00 each) and piglets ($30.00 each) through ELCA Good Gifts for people in nearly 90 foreign countries to help them with food and income for their families. You may donate any amount by using a pew envelope and marking it either "piglet" or "goat". We will keep you up-dated weekly on our progress
Winter Clothing Drive - From now through the end of the cold weather, our friends at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Allentown will take your new and gently-used winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and sweat suits and distribute them to people in need. Men’s, women’s, and children's clothing of all sizes is needed. Please leave your donations in the large blue bin in the chapel (near the alley entrance).
March 24-26 - Bear Creek Family Retreat! If you enjoy nature and spending time with a great intergenerational group of people, don't miss this weekend at Bear Creek Camp. Cost is $60 for adults 17 and older, $10 for youth age 5-16, and children 4 and under are free. A deposit of half your cost is encouraged at the time you sign up. People can go outside and enjoy the natural beauty of the camp, or they can stay inside by the fireplace and chat or play games. We all share the responsibility of cooking, serving, and cleaning up in the large commercial kitchen at the camp. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed! See sign up sheet at church or call the office for details.
Social Ministry Project - Our newest Social Ministry project is helping out at St. Peter's Church with their "First Friday of the Month" meal. The next date is April 7 and we need you! Grace will be in charge of planning, cooking, and serving the dinner of Easter ham and all the trimmings. Baked goods are also needed for dessert. If you are able to bake, help out for all day or just a few hours, talk to Nancy Rex or Sandy Schantz. There are a number of Grace members that attend this monthly free meal. This is a great community outreach project and we need many volunteers to make it work. And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” ~ Matthew 25:40
