Christian Education for All Ages
Sunday School: Sunday School at Grace begins with a class for those 2-3 years old, and runs through High School. We meet Sundays from September through May, from 9:15 to 10:15 pm (between the two worship services). Students at Grace work with age appropriate materials for each age level, and are always under the supervision of trained teachers. Currently, the Sunday School is using the "WHIRL" curriculum, with entertaining DVDs and other materials that relate to the lectionary Bible readings for each Sunday. Preview a sample video here: WHIRL Classroom
Would you like to help out with Sunday School? If you have an hour of time on Sunday morning, we are always looking for Co-teachers and Aides to help out in any of the classes. Or, maybe you would like to volunteer occasionally as a Substitute Teacher. The experience is a very gratifying one, and all materials are provided. You must provide current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania security clearances (child abuse and state police). If interested, speak to Sandy Schantz or notify the church office at 610-966-3325.
Adult Forum: This group for older learners (college and up) meets in the Chapel area - 9:15 from September through May and 10:15 during the summer. Currently, we are working our way through a DVD series called "How Lutherans Interpret the Bible", which will last the remainder of this calendar year (December). The main topics covered under this course are:
Session 1: The Word of God
Session 2: What Lutherans Say About the Bible
Session 3: Where the Bible comes From
Session 4: Interpreting the Bible in Context
Session 5: Determining Right from Wrong
Session 6: The Many Meanings of the Bible
Session 7: Devotional Bible
Come any time and join in the fun, even if you have missed previous sessions. Remember, you are never too old to learn more, or to share what you know with others.
