About Grace

At Grace Lutheran Church, all are welcome. Grace is a warm place to worship, serve, and learn about God's amazing love, especially in the person of Jesus.

We are a congregation of the Lutheran tradition, following the teachings of pastor and reformer Martin Luther (1483-1546). But the Head of our Church is Jesus Christ, our crucified and risen Lord, Emmanuel (which means God With Us).

Our Holy Book is the Bible. We encourage everyone to read and study the great truths of scripture. We believe our book teaches us how to live in peace, and we find no contradiction between science and faith. The Bible tells us the WHO and WHY of creation; while science tells us its latest theories of HOW and WHEN.

We believe that God our Creator continues to act today, inspiring people to reach out to all of God's people in Word and Deed. The motto of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is "God's Work, Our Hands." We strive to live out that statement as we learn and serve together.
