Social Ministry

Grace Lutheran Church Macungie PA

The responsibility to reach out to those that are in need is a critical part of our ministry at Grace. The Social Ministries Committee is dedicated to this important Christian endeavor. A few examples of our efforts include our monthly collection of food for the hungry and our 'back to school' program, which helps provide essentials for families with children that may not be in a financial position to purchase these items. We also participate in fund raising events that are hosted by local organizations, and provide direction to our Church Council as it relates to monetary contributions to those in need.

We committed to prepare and serve a hot meal each month for a year at Daybreak, a division of The Lehigh County Conference of Churches. On the third Thursday of each month, members of our congregation report to the kitchen at Daybreak and provide a meal to dozens of very grateful people living in the Allentown area.

As our church continues to grow, we must remain dedicated to our community and answer the call to do HIS work. There is much work to be done. Please consider joining the Social Ministries Committee at Grace. Together, we can make a difference in peoples lives.
