Communion With Bread

& Individual Cups

Many people have requested the occasional use of a loaf of bread and individual cups for communion. We will use this method to administer communion on the third Sunday of each month. In addition to the wine, we will pre-pour grape juice into a few glasses in each tray. If you would like to make the bread (two loaves) for communion, there is a signup sheet at the rear of the nave.

Is God's Will in Your Will?

Do you have a will? Have you remembered Grace Church or another ministry in your will? The STATE'S all- purpose will probably won't fit your needs and won't show your love for your favorite ministry. Call the church for more information about how you can remember the ministries of the church in your will and estate planning.

Spring is here and it's time to start planning our Summer Activities. Our Vacation Bible School, " A Rainforest Adventure", will be held in the evening from August 4 - 8th. this exciting program will delight the kids as they spend the week with rainforest animals like Cleo the Monkey, Tad the Frog, Bill the Toucan, Esme the Macaw and Shari the Butterfly. There will be Bible lessons and centers to learn crafts games, rhythm, science, and storytelling. Our Mission project this year will focus on helping the kids in the remote highlands of the Andes Mountains in Peru where they need safe shelters so the don't have to live on the streets. However, we need adults and older youth to help us make our rainforest experience a reality. Consider serving as a teacher, center leader, aide, or kitchen crew. Look for a sign up sheet on the bulleting board in the Sunday School wing across from the restrooms. If you can help us for  this exciting week. On May 6, we will have a meeting at 7 pm in the Chapel, for all VS staff to get acquainted with the teaching materials. We will also coordinate with the various areas of interest.

Worship Attendance

Diakon Family Life Services' annual women's retreat, originally scheduled for February 22-24 has been rescheduled for April 25 - 27, 2008 ( the earlier event was canceled because of snow).

The retreat will be held at the Mariawald Renewal Center in Shillington. "Listening for God's Voice" will explore how to feel god's presence more clearly, hear God's voice, and discern God's will for our lives by honing our inward and outward listening skills. The retreat leader, E Flanagan, has authored a book on discernment in relationships and taught a 10 week course, "Discerning Our alls," at Pendle Hill, A Quaker study center in Philadelphia. there will also be time for relaxation, recreation, Bible study, worship and fellowship.
