Girl Scout Sunday

               March 8, 2009

          Grace Lutheran Church invites you and your family to worship with us on Girl Scout Sunday – March 8, 2009 at our 10:30am worship service. On that day the scouts will read the lessons, distribute the bulletins and receive the offering. We hope that some or all of the troops may also be able to make a presentation, as well.

         Grace Lutheran Church is privileged to host four different groups of Girl Scouts, including brownies, juniors and cadettes. We believe scouting is a wonderful way to develop the gifts God has given these girls. Thank you for allowing us to share in their formation.

         Girl Scout Sunday is an annual celebration during the week that has March 12^th - the Girl Scout Birthday. That day commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization's first 18 girl members in Savannah, Georgia.
