A  creative activity which tells the story of Easter, Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday.


For this project you will need:

Easter Basket or Egg Carton

Scripture for each egg

Scripture printout

12 plastic Easter eggs numbered on the outside 1 thru 12

1. piece of a palm branch

2. sample of perfume or cinnamon stick

3. communion wafer or cube of bread

4. 3 dimes

5. small cross

6. crown of thorns (soak a small piece of dried grape vine and twist into shape)

7. piece of burlap with a nail

8. 1 large nail

9. small sponge

10. several cloves

11. round stone

12. piece of white cloth

To assemble your egg's:

Print out the scripture and announcement page

Carefully cut out each announcement & scripture.

Match each scripture with appropriate announcement and item. example:

Egg #1 Announcement: Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The people waved palm branches. Scripture: Matthew 21:1-11 The item is a piece of a palm branch.

Tape the announcement to the top of the matching scripture.
Make sure you are able to lift the announcement and read the scripture underneath.

Place the announcement w/scripture attached and item into appropriate numbered egg.

Place the finished eggs into a decorated basket or egg carton in numerical order.

For this craft project the scripture used is from 'The Way - The Living Bible'.
