2010 Wednesday Evening Lenten Worship
will be shared with Solomon’s UCC (82 S. Church St.) each week at 7:00 pm
beginning Ash Wednesday, February 17. Child care is available each week.
Refreshments will follow worship each week at each church.

 

     Our theme this year is The Attributes of Lent.” As we pursue our Lenten disciplines, we aspire towards certain attributes: Repentance, Sacrifice, Humility, Commitment, Faith, and Service. These are modeled by different Biblical characters which will dramatically portray their lives each Wednesday evening.

 

The schedule will be:

·      Feb 17 Ash Wed. at Grace -- Imposition of Ashes, Communion and “Repentance: King David and Peter”

·      Feb 24 at Solomon’s - “Sacrifice: Hannah and Mary the Mother of Christ”

·      March 3 at Grace - “Humility: Moses and John the Baptist”

·      March 10 at Solomon’s - “Commitment: Ruth and John”

·      March 17  at Grace – “Faith: Abraham and the Centurion”

·      March 24 at Solomon’s – “Service: Rahab and Mary of Bethany”

We will need people to assist with the dramas each week, as well as with refreshments. Sign up on the bulletin board in the back of the sanctuary.
